Back to School
Greetings, all! School is back in full swing and I’m so excited. We’ve got lots of Art 1′s this block, which is great! I predict some serious talent coming from these kids in the coming year. Also new: our video production class is rockin’ this year with 2 new members: Cole and Lizzi. Welcome, guys, and you’re doing an awesome job so far!
Coming up: Monday: No school
Tuesday: Tacky Tuesday (and project 1 due for most classes)
Wednesday: Wake up Wednesday (wear your PJ’s)

The first 2 weeks of block 2 have been great! We’ve got a lot of new art posted in the hallways and on the website at http://www.skyviewart.webs.com.

In the meantime, all classes have recent due dates that were missed due to AIMS testing. The due dates are as follows
ART I: Pencil Drawing due Monday November 2nd
ART II: Linear Perspective Drawing due Thursday, October 29th
ART III: Pastel Portrait due THursday October 29th
ART IV: Impressionist Squares Painting due Thursday November 5th
ART V: Light Source Project due Thursday October 29th

Art I: Students should be working on the pen and final projects simultaneously. Both are due on October 15th (the last day of block I)
Art II: Student should be working on their oil pastel “rhythm” project, due on October 5th (Monday)
Art III Students should be working on their distortion project, due October 5th (Monday)
Art V Students should be working on the “movement” project, due October 5th (Monday)
Note: Mrs. Melrose will not be in school Friday, please go to Mrs. Nelson Green’s room to flex, and be sure you have your materials to work on your projects! ONLY 2.5 WEEKS LEFT IN BLOCK 1
